Satiate My Need For Winter

Satiate My Need For Winter

The air is cold tonight sitting in my dimly lit room by candlelight.

I still think of her the girl with the ebony hair,

As I sit there bewildered believing she’s still there.

Talking to the walls as though they’re answering back,

I just can’t seem to find myself tonight I believe I’m starting to crack.

I’ve lost who I am, or what I once was,

And it’s sad to think about only just because.

The little girl inside is dying overwhelmed by the pain of grief,

Praying for it all to end wishing it was brief.

It will eventually come to an end without any hinder,

As I satiate my need for winter.

Frore Roads Less Travelled

Frore Roads Less Travelled

Chills in the air winters closing in.

I have to make it home somehow where do I begin,

I’m lost and afraid nothing to guide me.

Exposed to the elements with only these bare trees surrounding to hide me.

Where did I go wrong, or did I somehow take the wrong path. I hope I make it home before it becomes too dark.

These haunting sounds that fill this wooded lair are a constant reminder of something unholy disturbing the air,

One by one all my worst fears begin to unravel as I continue down these frore roads less travelled.

A Northward Beeline

A Northward Beeline

Taking in the scenery sipping a glass of wine,

As the train hurries quite expeditiously along a northward beeline.

What pleasures will await as I reach my destination,

Perhaps an old friend might greet me as alight from the carriage,

And step gingerly onto the platform at Edinburgh station.

Settling in for the night alone in my hotel room,

Telephone calls and memories recalled with friends I’ll be seeing again soon.

Morning has broken it’s time to go,

Back to the station boarding a train I sit down comfortably by the window.

Until I return again someday to the town I often call mine,

the train begins to pull briskly out of the station I take a small sip from my glass of wine.

I begin the long journey home again on a long and winding northward beeline.

The Simplest Moments

The Simplest Moments

The simplest moments are cradling you in my arms,

My pretty little angel, I will always protect you from any harm.

As I look down and watch you sleep,

I’m thinking about the piece of my heart you will always keep.

It’s those simple moments that a mother will always cherish from the day you are born until you perish.

I will be there to be your guiding light, my little angel I will make sure your dreams are sweet each and every night.

As I sit here writing a single tear rolling down my cheek, carrying with it words I cannot speak.

I know that you’re not here anymore, not a day goes by when I don’t feel you with me sharing those simple moments with me again once more.

Aftertaste Premium Dining

When it comes to premium dining in second life that actually seems more like a real life experience rather than a virtual culinary delight, there really is only one choice for me ” Aftertaste Premium Dining Restaurant “.I have never ever reviewed a restaurant before in second life but after several visits to aftertaste with January, I felt compelled to share my thoughts on the whole virtual dining experience.

Owned and operated by Ron, and Savannah Kira Aftertaste really raises the bar on what premium dining in second life is really all about. Harking back to 2015 I remember my first experience of the aftertaste restaurant, and at the time I remember thinking. Am I in a dream or is this real, it was difficult to differentiate between second life and real life. I had been transported to a world of more than just premium dining.

Ron and Savannah Kira are two of the loveliest people I have ever met in second life. They are so dedicated to what they do and have such a great sense of humour, they really make you feel like you’re one of their family. This is something I had never experienced before dining in any second life restaurant, no sooner had we been ushered to our table we were presented with our menu’s and we were given plenty of time to peruse the various choices available.

After you’ve had your breakfast lunch or dinner you’re welcomed to take a walk along a long winding path, or if you prefer you can take a horse and carriage on a tour of the surrounding area taking in the beautiful sights of the ocean and the misty mountains that hug the mouth of the bay.  A night time wind light is highly recommended for the most romantic experience at aftertaste restaurant there is a special fireworks display and even a path that leads down to a romantic little outdoor open dance floor.

Bookings are a breeze, and can be made via filling out a notecard just inside the entrance by the register, between the hours of 5pm SLT and 8pm SLT 250L per person. Included in your premium dining experience package is a 4-course meal which includes appetizers, entrees drinks, and a delicious dessert to top it all off.

Lastly, I’d like to thank Ron and Savannah Kira for making mine and January’s premium dining experience a very special treat. It is something we always look forward to when we don’t feel like staying in and cooking, and we look forward to seeing you again for another fun filled night sharing a few laughs and enjoying a very tasty meal until then au revoir.! x

Bad Holiday Snaps

Hello again to all those who read my blogs and to all those who haven’t read my blog posts yet um future hello?. I am back after so many months with a revamped blog and some new material. I have decided to write about my trip to Venice, not the real Venice the second life Venice which turned out to be an absolute disaster!

Arriving in Venice I decided to walk along the many bridges, and paths, and bridges and more paths taking in the sights of this truly beautiful city. The sky was strangely purple, maybe it was caused by all the fumes of the cheese and bread being baked (cheese is not baked what the hell was I thinking?) anyway I leant over the side of the bridge a little too far and dropped my camera into the canal (oops!)…

I managed to secure the services of two surly looking fishermen nearby and asked them very politely if they would be kind enough to fish my little camera out of the canal, they told me they were on their lunch break and I had to do it myself (thanks, guys pfft). I stuck my hand in the murky water and almost got savaged by several Venetian crabs, after much digging around in the water I finally retrieved my camera it was soaked and I was pretty sure the film was ruined….sigh!

I spent at least three weeks in Venice after that little incident buying souvenirs, and mingling with the public discussing cheese and bread density. After three weeks had passed it was time to go home, and once I arrived home. I took my camera into the local camera film developer thingy shop to get my film developed. I’ve included three pictures below from my trip to Venice enjoy! Join me next time for more misadventures!
